Real Wedding: Chaunci + Casey in Texas

This is a stunning wedding filled with fabulous cultural influences. Captured by AJH Photography, Chaunci and Casey were married last spring on Cinco de Mayo at the Lost Mission in Bulverde, Texas. The event merged the styles of south Texas and Mexico into one super chic soiree. Bright red was used to complement the neutral colors of venue and further enforce the theme of “Mexican Spice”, as the bride calls it. I especially love the couple’s monogram in big red roses at the entrance to the venue!

A few words from the bride about the wedding theme:

“Vintage Country/Mexican Spice — I was and am inspired by nature, our rural Texas upbringing, our heritage paths, vintage items…we attempted to roll everything we love into one large, awesome event!”

A few words from the bride on how she and Casey met:

“Casey grew up in the TX hill country, originally from Medina, TX.
I grew up in the TX brush country, originally from Tilden, TX.

Fate brought us together! We met at my best friend’s wedding in 2010 (yes, just like a romantic comedy movie plot). Neither one of our dates could make it to the wedding. I was a bridesmaid, and he grew up with the bride, but had been working out of state. I have been friends with his sister for nearly 5 years and had no idea she had a brother! He asked me to dance at the reception, and there was an instant connection. Shortly after, our paths crossed again…we began our happily ever after then.”
