I love the stark design of this wedding ceremony location in contrast with the bold orange flowers and runner. Captured by Lovisa Photo, Jocelyne and Nathanael were married on a beautiful July day in Orange, California. They had an intimate wedding with fifty guests, followed by a dessert reception. Jocelyne and Nathanael incorporated tons of DIY projects into their event, including the beautiful floral arrangements! The whole story from the bride:
“Nate and I met at church, became friends and served on the same teams at church (production). Now it was until almost a year and a half after we had met that we started hanging out and realized we had lots of interests in common. We started dating in September of 2010 and by April of 2011 we were engaged and planning a July 2011 wedding. The best part was that he was really involved in the whole planning process, we wanted something small, simple yet unique, and I believe we accomplished. Nate gave me the idea to do our wedding colors as orange and silver… And my initial thought was “it’s going to look like home depot!” but once I put the two colors together, well it actually worked pretty nicely. We even found an Orange Runner. We Went to A1 Foam and Fabric in Santa Ana and found the exact color we wanted for our runner. Would have never thought of going to a place like that to find our runner, but it was actually perfect. The day of our wedding was great, didn’t have to worry about anything. What helped have such a great day was the fact that both Nate and I are pretty organized, so Brittanie our wedding coordinator knew exactly what was going to be the order of the whole Wedding almost a month in advance, so we didn’t have to worry about anything.
Our sign in book was actually a sign in canvas I designed, so everyone signed that instead.
Our party favors were coffee mugs we designed with the same design as our invitations. It was the Phrase “I love you” in all the different languages. We wanted something our friends would remember as our wedding day without writing either one of our names.
[For our invitations] we both wanted something unique that represented who we were. Me- a creative free spirit and Nate- more industrial, working with metal. Both- really creative and always thinking outside the box! So we came up with a stainless Steel invitation ha!
Our wedding day was special and just what we wanted it to be.”
