I love the fabulous, industrial backdrops in this modern engagement session! Captured by Sarah Ingle Photography, Nicole and Chadd drove from their home in Atlanta, Georgia to Franklin, Tennessee for a beautiful engagement shoot. A mix of unconventional locations, including a stairwell at an old factory and a parking garage, create surprising wonderful backdrops for these stunning images.
I adore the simple, modern details in today’s feature wedding! Captured by Jenny GG Photography, Tara and Jeff were married last May in a beautiful ceremony in a unique, industrial venue in Seattle, Washington. The couple wanted a wedding with a fresh, modern style. They accomplished this through their use of simple decor and a bold, lime green color palette. The flowing white curtains flanking the ceremony space were the perfect compliment to the rustic wood and windows lining the room. Also, you must check out Tara’s shoes; stunning glittery silver heels!
A few words from the bride:
If I were to describe my wedding style in a few words it would be: modern, simple, Seattle, and fun. Not only did I achieve this style with my dress, hair, and makeup, but each one of my wedding vendors and venue fit into this style as well. I gathered my inspiration for the “look and feel” of my wedding through Pinterest.com, Stylemepretty.com, the Seattle Wedding Expo, and browsing through my photographer, Jenny GG’s, website of past weddings. From the wonderful earthy Seattle-like catering of Herban Feast to the purple and lime green wedding colors my bridal party rocked, I am thrilled to say I accomplished my style and inspiration flawlessly!
Jeff and I met the summer before our last year of college in Seattle. Oddly enough, at that party we started talking because I had met him 3 years prior and he didn’t recognize me at all. I asked him “Don’t I know you?” and he stared at me blindly and responded with “Uh, no?” After that funny introduction, we spent the entire summer together. We tried new restaurants, went boating, and simply enjoyed one another’s company. In the fall, when Jeff had to go back to school in Atlanta, and I in Seattle, we decided we would give “long distance” a go. While it was tough, we grew closer from our distance, and after graduation we were back together living in Seattle. It’s been more than 5 years since we first met and we’re best friends because we share similar passions such as humor, staying active, food, and video games.
I love the perfect mix of industrial and chic in this wedding! Captured by Heather Elizabeth Photography, Kelli and Matt were married last April at a unique, old mill in Clarksburg, California. Their wedding day was inspired by the surrounding wine region and the rustic feel of the venue. A neutral color palette of creams and dark navy blue provides the perfect backdrop for this stylish event.
A few words from the bride:
Our wedding was inspired by the region in which we decided to get married. We wanted it to be rustic, but still be an evening wedding. We got married in a huge brick building with broken windows and piles of bricks throughout the venue’s property. We really wanted to stay true to the look and feel; so we used distressed wood, old wine bottles, corks, and burlap for our decor.
All Matt and I really wanted was to have a big party, not only for our friends and family but for us too. We felt like we deserved it. After being together for over 7 years, and planning this crazy wedding, all we really wanted was to celebrate each other. As long as our day was filled with love, our favorite people, good food, drinks, and music, then the night would have been a success. Looking back on it now, I think we both can say we accomplished that.
