I lived just a couple blocks from Fenway Park for several years, so this session brings back many fond memories! Captured by Deborah Zoe Photography, Marlo and Mark spent a perfect fall day at Fenway Park in Boston. Both born and raised New Englanders, the couple knew they wanted to highlight their love of Boston sports… especially once learning that the Red Sox would play in the World Series. Marlo and Mark met while studying at the University of Connecticut and became instant best friends. In addition to the shots of my old neighborhood, I also love the fall colors of the images in the park!
After living in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston for several years, I am always excited when a Boston session comes across my desk! Captured by Deborah Zoe Photography, Kim and Basil spent a lovely July day exploring the city of Boston for their engagement session. Beginning in the couple’s charming Back Bay apartment and then heading to the Lansdowne Pub, where the couple met, this session is bursting with gorgeous backdrops. Wow, talk about an amazing apartment!
Get ready for a very classy, baseball centered wedding! Captured by Nicole Chan Photography, Katie and Matt were married on a gorgeous May day in a church ceremony in Boston, Massachusetts. Katie and Matt met through work, but they really clicked while playing on a softball team together. As their relationship progressed, they spent many trips visiting new baseball stadiums and attending Red Sox games. Matt proposed on the roof of his parent’s South End brownstone, after which the couple enjoyed a game at Fenway Park, so the park was the perfect location for their reception and first look. I love all the personalized touches, such as the “Katie and Matt” Cracker Jack favors and Boston themed cookies!
A few words from the bride:
We met at work years ago but didn’t begin dating until Matt joined my coed softball team and we started spending time together outside of work. Our love for sports and competition brought us close together, and weekend trips to see different ballparks and stadiums across the country began to occur more and more frequently. The weekend he confessed his feelings for me, we had the opportunity to play a simulated baseball game on the field at Fenway. It was incredible. The night he proposed we went to a Red Sox game, and even though they lost to the Nationals, I was too busy staring at my new engagement ring to care!
Fenway Park has always been such a special place to both of us with so many wonderful memories. So when we began planning our wedding, we couldn’t imagine a more perfect venue for the reception. The EMC Club is a beautiful room for an event in itself, with the added benefit of a panoramic view of America’s favorite ballpark. We also opted to do a first look and decided the perfect place was home plate! We had so much fun running all over the park taking photos with our wedding party before the ceremony. (It also eased our nerves quite a bit.)
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our photographer Nicole and her two assistants, Karen and James. They truly captured every moment. We were so pleased with every vendor we worked with and would recommend each and every one of them. I can honestly say our day was perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing!
