Rowboat Engagement Session in Golden Gate Park

This engagement session is so adorable! Captured by Inkspot Photography, Minh and Mj spent a day rowing and playing games in Golden Gate Park on a gorgeous June day in San Francisco, California. I love how this couple incorporated a game of Connect Four, the same game they played together on their first date, into this outdoor session. Be sure to read more about Minh and Mj below.

A few words from the photographer:

Minh & MJ were such a joy to photograph. Together, they explored and picked all of these breathtaking spots for their engagement session in Golden Gate Park. I was so thrilled when they told me they wanted to rent a rowboat! The two of them often go for walks around lakes so this seemed like the perfect fit to start off their session. The boat staff got a few good chuckles in while Minh & MJ were figuring out how to steer, as I kept to the safety of dry land trying to yell directions to them. Haha! It was quite the show.

After we’d had enough of rowing, we strolled over to some nearby benches where they played Connect Four. I love how they brought along props that were sentimental to them. I guess they had been playing game after game on their first date and Mary was determined not to end on a losing streak. These two sweethearts made it easy for us to capture happy, love filled images.

Lovely Mint + Yellow Summer Inspiration Session

A color palette of mint and yellow creates a refreshing atmosphere for summer! Captured by Belathee PhotographyLove and Light Photographs, and You Look Lovely-Fine Art Photography and styled by Roey Mizrahi Events, this inspiration session is filled with bright, airy details. From the bride and groom’s simple, modern attire to the soft florals and unique cake, this shoot is sure to inspire you!

A few words about the shoot from the event planner, Roey:

I had the pleasure of recently bringing together a talented group of professionals to feature our collaborative work for an industry event at Hornblower Cruises co-hosted by Lover.ly. In the process of thinking of a concept and all the elements  we would separately feature at the event I really wanted to combine all the components and paint a complete picture for all the couples who wanted to be inspired for their Summer nuptials. The inspiration was derived but what I felt a summer beachy boat wedding should be: effortless, organic, bright and refreshing. Mint and Yellow were the combination of colors that we felt would best represent that feeling. All elements were chosen around what how we wanted to represent summer weddings. A subtle playfulness that was still refined. The flowy grecian gown that had such beautiful movement, the mixed colors and fabrics of the menswear, the hair that had braided structure on one side and was loose and romantic on the other side. The watercolor place cards and the combination of the yellow and mint watercolor save the date as well as the whimsical yellow confetti invitation paired with kraft paper envelopes. The bouquet that was romantic and lush. The tablescape yellow flowers in mint vessels. A favorite element for me was utilizing a cake stand as the base of the main centerpiece arrangement. I hope people feel inspired and refreshed and approach their weddings with the sense of joy and serenity that we tried to represent with this shoot.
