It is so wonderful to hear from a bride, as I did from Viktoriya, that she used Modernly Wed for inspiration for her wedding day! Captured by Simply D Photography, Viktoriya and Jared were married on a beautiful day this past March at Jared’s parents’ home in Phoenix, Arizona. They had a small wedding, with about fifty close friends and family. The couple dated for seven years after meeting at Safeway, where Viktoriya was the Starbucks barista, and Jared was the dairy manager. They love their two dogs, Hurley and Jake, the beach and cuddling up to watch a good movie. Viktoriya and Jared’s wedding day was filled with details that convey their personalities. The reception tables were named after one of the couple’s favorite places, the lands of Disneyland. Guests received favors of Russian candies, representing the bride’s heritage, and “Cars” sugar candies, representing the groom’s love of Disney/Cars. Beef Stroganoff was served as an entrée choice because of its ties to Russia. The groomsmen received their tuxedos as a gift from the groom, while the bridesmaids received “TOMS” shoes from the bride. A vivid green was used to punctuate the otherwise neutral attire and decor, providing a sleek, modern color scheme. After the party, Viktoriya and Jared ran through a tunnel of sparklers.
