Although today’s wedding took place in Cape Cod, it isn’t a typical “beach” wedding. Captured by Siri Jones Photography, Ashley and Eric were married on a lovely October day in front of a pond surrounded by gardens on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. This laid back event featured vibrant pops of color and unique floral arrangements. I especially love Ashley’s gorgeous hairstyle, accented with delicate fresh flowers.
A few words from the bride:
We met at a wedding in April 2012. My inspiration for the wedding was a classic but bohemian wedding. I wanted the natural elements to really be the centerpiece. We got married in front of a pond surrounded by trees and gardens, and we could hear the ocean in the background. The chuppah, the cake, and the escort cards holder were decorated with flowers, birch bark, and twigs, plus my maid of honor, flower girl, and I wore flowers in our hair. For the flowers, we used really vibrant cold colors and unique flowers that you don’t see very often.
The best part of our wedding day was spending an hour or so together, just the two of us, before walking down the aisle. We took pictures the old cemetery, near the harbor, and in front of a farm. It was very special to have those peaceful moments together right before walking down the aisle.
