I adore the soft peach and teal color palette of this travel themed wedding! Captured by DuRall Photography, Meghan and Jordan were married on a lovely July day in front of a garden fountain at a historic hotel in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The couple’s dog dawned a tutu and bedazzled collar (made by the bride) for her walk down the aisle as ring bearer. Since the couple has spent much of their relationship traveling, a “jet setting” theme was a perfect fit. Each reception table featured a centerpiece with photos from Meghan and Jordan’s many trips together. Many elements of the wedding were handcrafted by the couple and their family and friends; including the painted wedding program, bridesmaids’ jewelry, arbor, centerpieces and more!
A few words from the bride:
Jordan and I met during our freshman year of college at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. We started out as friends, and our relationship grew stronger and deeper from there. After undergrad, we went to law school together at the University of Tulsa, and upon graduation, we moved to Connecticut for two years. Following the wedding, we packed up our car and our dog and started on an 80+ hour journey to begin new jobs in Anchorage, Alaska.
We love exploring new places, and together we have seen the world. Some people call us free spirits while some think we are just plain crazy, but we view life as an adventure. We wanted the wedding to reflect that aspect of our personalities. For each table, we included a display of photos from a location we have visited together. We chose Eureka Springs as the location for our wedding because we visited it frequently during undergrad and law school, and Eureka Springs became a very special place for us. As for the Crescent Hotel, its beauty, history, and reputation as a “haunted” location made it an easy choice.
All of our guests had to travel to attend the wedding, and we were truly honored that so many of our family and friends sacrificed to share the day with us. We are extremely fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives. We would also like to thank Aaron and Whitney of DuRall Photography for their talent, patience, and professionalism. They captured the wedding in a manner that exceeded our wildest expectations.
