Today’s feature wedding is filled with thoughtful, music inspired details. Captured by FindOrion Photography, Lauren and Daniel were married on a crisp November day at a church in Goshen, New York. Music brought the couple together, so it was an obvious choice for their wedding theme. From cassette tape escort cards to sheet music and records on the tables, the music theme was subtle, yet consistent. I think the vintage feel of the attire mixes wonderfully with the music inspired decor!
A few words from the bride:
The day definitely did not go off with out a hitch but in the end we realized- who cares! Perfection is not what makes the day special, it’s about marrying your best friend and having a great time with friends, family and loved ones doing so.
Our inspiration for our wedding was music, which is what brought us together as friends four years ago. We bonded over concerts, and jukeboxes, so it was fitting to have a vintage concert inspired wedding. We also both love concert posters, and collect them from concerts we’ve been together, Dan actually asked me to be his girlfriend after a Black Lips concert. We had a great time designing our save the date and invitation together, we discovered through the whole process that we make a great creative team. We tried to incorporate the inspiration throughout but not overload and make it too themed because we ultimately believe our real theme was making this commitment to each other. We named our tables after our favorite love songs, with our table being “house of cards” by Radiohead which was our first dance together. Our sign in poster was a framed enlarged print of our save the date concert poster. Its a sweet reminder of the day and we actually have it hung in our house!
