We are all aware of the devastating earthquake and tsunami that left Japan in state of widespread emergency. Tomorrow, I will be participating in Bloggers Day of Silence to support For Japan With Love, a disaster relief fundraiser coordinated by Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged. All donations made through For Japan With Love will benefit ShelterBox, a non-profit disaster relief organization. At the time when they need it most, Shelterbox provides emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies to families around the world who have been affected by disasters. Each large, green Shelterbox is tailored to a specific disaster, but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. The goal set by For Japan With Love has already been far exceeded by gracious donations and an outpouring of support. If you would like to contribute to this great cause, please visit For Japan With Love and follow the link to the donation site. I know everyone is not in the position to make a monetary donation, if this is your situation, please keep the affected families and the people of Japan in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you to Ever Ours and Utterly Engaged for organizing this wonderful fundraiser.
