How fun would it be to pose on the famous “Love” statue for an engagement shoot? Captured by Ashley Gerrity Photography, Jessica and Josh did the next best thing… they posed on a replica of the famous statue at the campus of the University of Pennsylvania! Both Jessica and Josh attended UPenn, making the campus a perfect location for their session. They also wandered around downtown Manayunk, a neighborhood just outside of Philadelphia, for some extra scenery. The couple will be married at the lovely Artesano Ironworks Gallery in Manayunk.
I adore the bright, bold green hues used throughout this wedding! Captured by Erin Johnson Photography, Hallie and Kirby were married on a stunning May day in a Lutheran church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests headed to the unique alumni center at the University of Minnesota for a fun, travel themed reception. I especially love the guest seating map!
A few words from the bride:
Kirby and I met in college at College of St. Benedict / St. John’s University in Minnesota. We were organic chemistry lab partners (insert joke about us having chemistry here). While in college we both studied abroad and fell in love with traveling, which inspired the theme of our wedding.
The focus of our wedding was our family and friends that were joining us to celebrate the start of our married life together. We are blessed to have so many amazing people in our life and we really wanted to have a fun party with all of them and so we focused a lot on our “guest experience”. I wanted the wedding to feel classic, comfortable, and personalized. We tried to incorporate a lot about us through our travel theme. Our wedding was a great day/night, the highlights were our venue, our photographer, and DJ, the dance floor was packed all night!
I love all the dramatic lighting conditions in this engagement session! Captured by Ben & Les Photography, Danielle and Dusty spent a December day wandering the campus of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. The couple and their photographer created an engagement session filled with a sense of adventure and romantic drama. Danielle manages her family’s business and Dusty is a cage fighter. The couple will face a long distance engagement over the next year that will come to an end with their wedding in Jamaica.
