Stunning Purple Fall Wedding in St. Louis

Get ready for a gorgeous fall wedding! Captured by Lisa Dolan Photography, Jessica and Shannon were married this past November in a lovely ceremony in St. Louis, Missouri. The ceremony was held at Jessica’s childhood church, followed by a reception at a nearby hotel ballroom. Between the ceremony and reception, the couple and their photographer headed to the Moonrise Hotel for a few images on their colored staircase. Jessica chose a beautiful color palette of deep purples to carry throughout the wedding attire and decor. The gorgeous oranges and reds of the fall leaves are a wonderful backdrop for this beautiful wedding!

A few word on how the couple met:

Jessica and Shannon met in the summer of 2006. They were both working in St. Louis on a summer job at Waterway Car Wash. Shannon typically worked at a different location but volunteered to work at another store one day. Some might call it chance; they like to think of it as fate. While washing a car together the flirting ensued. They worked together the rest of their shift which is atypical for the work environment. After the shift ended Jessica put her phone number on a sticky note and left it under Shannon’s windshield wiper. Her phone did not leave her side for the rest of the day! Shannon finally called later that night and they met for a casual dinner and drinks. As their friends will attest, they have been and will always be inseparable and infatuated with one another!

Real Wedding: Tiffany + Randy in St. Louis

I love how this wedding combines cultural traditions with modern details. Captured by Simpli Photography, Tiffany and Randy were married last September at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, Missouri. The couple’s families traveled all the way from China and Hong Kong to celebrate their marriage. Before their vows, Tiffany and Randy held a traditional Chinese tea ceremony during which both sides of their family were served tea. Tiffany’s most memorable moment of the day was when she and Randy exchanged vows. Her advice for future brides is to take more time to look at everything, but in the end, she wouldn’t change anything about her wedding day.

Stunning St. Louis Wedding with Bold Blooms

Today’s feature wedding is overflowing with gorgeous modern details! Photographed by Karey Michelle Photography, Christie and Charles were married last June in a destination wedding in St. Louis, Missouri. Their Catholic ceremony took place at the beautiful Old Cathedral (Basilica of St. Louis, King), the oldest cathedral west of the Mississippi. The couple’s reception was originally planned for the Gateway Arch Riverboat Cruise, but unfortunately the river flooded the weekend of their wedding. An alternate plan was carried out with a fabulous reception at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at The Arch. Following the reception, Christie and Charles exited via horse and carriage…complete with a “just married” sign! I love the bold mixing of bright colors in the floral arrangements and centerpieces. Orange, pink, blue and purple are used to create a super modern atmosphere.
