Simple Modern Gathering Wedding in Vancouver

This couple has such fabulous style! Captured by Simply Rose Photography, Karen and Mike were married on a gorgeous May day in an intimate gathering at a restaurant in Vancouver, Canada. Karen wore a lovely vintage dress with her hair pulled up in an elegant top knot adorned with the perfect bow headpiece. Mike looked dapper in a simple gray suit with a black tie. The gorgeous pink paper flower bouquet that Karen carried was lovingly handmade by a friend and transported all the way from Belgium for this special occasion. The ceremony and reception restaurant was set with simple and elegant potted succulent plants. I adore all the thoughtful and simple details of this intimate wedding!

From the bride:

We wanted our wedding day to be a simple and elegant gathering that focused on bringing together our friends and family to celebrate love.

Beautiful Green + White Wedding in California

I adore the simple detailing of this fun wedding! Captured by Memory Lane Studio, Maria and Eric were married on a lovely June day in a courtyard ceremony in Fullerton, California. The couple originally met in high school, but took over a decade to reconnect. Maria and Eric’s wedding was a mellow event with lots of goofing around by the groomsmen. A crisp color palette of green and white was used throughout the decor. I especially love the simple, low centerpieces and the gorgeous cake!

A few words from the bride:

We originally went to high school together. I (Maria) went into the military and was gone for 11 years. I finally came back to CA where we reconnected at our favorite band ”Social Distortion” concert. I actually walked down the aisle to ”Story of My Life” by Social D.

We wanted a mellow, fun wedding. Nothing too stuffy and uptight. We wanted everyone to be comfortable and to have a good time.

We had a great wedding! Our vendors were amazing and our photographers Chrystal and Diane were phenomenal!

Bright + Modern Art Museum Wedding in Milwaukee

I adore all the unique architecture of today’s fabulous wedding venue! Captured by Heather Cook Elliot Photography, Margaret and Andrew were married on a stunning July day at the modern Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The museum features a soaring Santiago Calatrava designed brise soleil, defined by sleek white ribs. Soft light is found throughout the museum, with fabulous Calder mobiles filling architectural voids. Margaret and Andrew shared a first look under a large Calder mobile; Margaret descending the dramatic, wide, curved staircase to meet Andrew in a private cylindrical room. A simple color palette of black and white with hints of navy and green allowed the gorgeous architecture and art of the venue to shine.
