How fun would it be to pose on the famous “Love” statue for an engagement shoot? Captured by Ashley Gerrity Photography, Jessica and Josh did the next best thing… they posed on a replica of the famous statue at the campus of the University of Pennsylvania! Both Jessica and Josh attended UPenn, making the campus a perfect location for their session. They also wandered around downtown Manayunk, a neighborhood just outside of Philadelphia, for some extra scenery. The couple will be married at the lovely Artesano Ironworks Gallery in Manayunk.
Here is a fun bridal shower that will make you long for the warm days of summer! Captured by Meridith Desmond Photography, bride Kate’s shower near Scranton, Pennsylvania featured a bold orange and fuchsia color palette and an assortment of graphic patterns. Homemade food and lots of thoughtful detail went into this gorgeous event!
A few words from the photographer (who was also a guest!):
One of my best friends from college is tying the knot and this was such a lovely bridal shower to attend and photograph! There were so many laughs, beautiful orange and fuchsia details to look at, hand sewn table runners in a fun tropical printed fabric, gorgeous flower arrangements throughout, delicious homemade food from the host and bridesmaid Bridget, and lots of love showered onto Kate for her up-coming wedding. I know Kate loves color and fun patterns ever since our Surface Pattern Design major days in college and well she got! While it wasn’t a total surprise, as she new the day and time, all the details and ideas were kept a secret to her. I have to thank Bridget and her mom for making all the food, sewing table runners, arranging flowers and opening your home to all the guests. I’m so excited to be photographing their backyard cocktail wedding later this year.
I am returning from my maternity leave with this lovely engagement session that showcases the softer, greener side of Pittsburgh. Captured by Studio 29 Photography, Marissa and Doug spent a gorgeous July day wandering a lush nature conservancy. I especially love the image above; such joy!
