Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.
What are your thoughts on this color? Personally, I love the jewel-tone quality and richness of the hue. It is a big change from last year’s color of the year, Tangerine Tango, but a welcomed one, I think. Here is a little inspiration board to get you thinking about Emerald for your upcoming wedding or event!
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share this amazing shoot inspired by the Pantone color of the year! Photographed by Twila’s Photography, this styled session with bride, Erica, is filled with bold, bright colors. Although Erica, a proud Southern lady, adores rustic weddings, mason jars, and burlap, she opted for a sleek, urban style for this session. Styled by Wedding 101 Nashville, the bold Pantone color of the year, Tangerine Tango, was mixed with bright lime green; a daring combination. Erica, an artist and musician, secured the perfect location, the roof top and art galleries of Two Moon Gallery in the up and coming 12 South area of Nashville, Tennessee. A graphic trellis design in citrus colors adorned the invitations and paper goods, while flower arrangements were grounded by limes and oranges in square vases. Cake pops and slender marmalade and lime parfaits serve as an unexpected departure from the traditional wedding cake. Erica looks stunning in her sleek, modern gown and stylish headpiece. This shoot is just bursting with vivid color and amazing details!
Last Thursday, Pantone announced their 2011 Color of the Year: 18-2120 Honeysuckle. Their description:
A Color for All Seasons Courageous. Confident. Vital. A brave new color, for a brave new world. Let the bold spirit of Honeysuckle infuse you, lift you and carry you through the year. It’s a color for every day – with nothing “everyday” about it.
What do you think?
I found these beautiful modern wedding cakes from Martha Stewart Weddings that incorporate the Honeysuckle color family:
