Beautiful At Home Engagement Session with Design Influences in Michigan

There is something so cozy about an “at home” engagement session! Captured by Mary Wyar Photography, Aimee and Matthew spent a beautiful June day at their home outside of Detroit, Michigan. Aimee, an architectural historian, and Matthew, a photographer, are both design and architecture lovers. Their mid-century modern inspired home was the perfect backdrop for their laid back engagement session; providing an authentic representation of their relationship and aesthetic. The couple’s striking greyhound, Eero, also joined them for many images.

Real Wedding: Amanda + Marinus in Michigan

This wedding is filled with thoughtful, modern details and happy shades of yellow! Captured by Amy Straka Photography, Amanda and Marinus were married in Western Michigan, just a few miles from Lake Michigan, at Millcreek Barns, a refurbished farm in “Orchard Country”. The couple exchanged a love letter during the ceremony to be opened on their ten year anniversary, along with a bottle of wine in a keepsake box. Such a wonderful idea! The bride styled the hair of all her bridesmaids and herself; they all looked fabulous. A palette of neutral gray with bright pops of yellow was used throughout the floral arrangements and decor.
