Talk about a gorgeous location! Captured by ArtPhotoSoul Photographers, today’s featured engagement session took place in the enchanting Wekiva Springs State Park in Florida. Stacie and Allan spent a December day wandering the woods and cuddling in a field. The couple shares a mutual love for all things Disney and had fun singing “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” from Mary Poppins during their shoot.
I love the bright, bold colors of today’s peacock inspired wedding! Captured by Angelita Esparar Photography, Abigail and Andre were married in a vibrant outdoor ceremony in Ponte Verde, Florida. With peacock feathers setting the theme, the couple incorporated rich pinks, purples and blues into their wedding decor. I especially adore the gorgeous bouquets and Abigail’s fabulous heels!
A few words from the bride:
Andre and I met through mutual friends during a scrabble game. I beat him of course! We then connected through social media and eventually had our first date. Now, every time we see a scrabble board it reminds us of how we first met. Some of our engagement pictures were taken playing scrabble.
Peacocks were my inspiration. I wanted bold colors for the wedding. Purple, pink, teal and hints of gold went perfectly with the peacock theme. I did not want to overdo the theme by having peacocks everywhere so I stuck with the colors and peacock feathers here and there. The bridesmaid dresses were also a big inspiration and I centered my designs and around them.
Wow, what an amazing ceiling! Captured by Minerva Photography, Felicia and Mitchell were married on a picturesque May day in a indoor ceremony overlooking the ocean in Florida. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed a reception filled with gourmet food and dancing. I love the neutral color palette, amazing cake, and stunning venue!
A few words from the bride:
We met on a Teen tour (a traveling summer camp that went to California, Hawaii and Alaska) in 2004. Even though he lived in CT and I lived in FL, we got very close after the trip and then we went to college together and started dating.
I guess I would call [the wedding inspiration] “modern elegance” We wanted to keep it simple and intimate, while maintaining what was meaningful to us in an elegant manner. Our closest family and friends with good food and drinks.
As for style- I looked at a million venues and I was so picky, if the carpet was ugly I wrote the entire place off! The venue really had everything we were looking for from the modern interior, being able to get married on the beach without having to actually go on the sand, and the fact that we had a famous chef cater it, meant that it was good food! The people invited are very important to us so we wanted them to enjoy the day too!
Michelle, our photographer, was amazing. When I began planning, she was one of the first vendors I met with and right away I knew she was going to help make the wedding I had in my head come to fruition. Honestly, the pictures are the most important of the vendors because they capture the event for you. Because Michelle was such a great person, it was easy to get along with her and that shows in the pictures.
