This couple has such fabulous style! Captured by Simply Rose Photography, Karen and Mike were married on a gorgeous May day in an intimate gathering at a restaurant in Vancouver, Canada. Karen wore a lovely vintage dress with her hair pulled up in an elegant top knot adorned with the perfect bow headpiece. Mike looked dapper in a simple gray suit with a black tie. The gorgeous pink paper flower bouquet that Karen carried was lovingly handmade by a friend and transported all the way from Belgium for this special occasion. The ceremony and reception restaurant was set with simple and elegant potted succulent plants. I adore all the thoughtful and simple details of this intimate wedding!
From the bride:
We wanted our wedding day to be a simple and elegant gathering that focused on bringing together our friends and family to celebrate love.
This wedding has an amazing, ultra-chic vibe! Captured by Mango Studios, Hailey and Jason were married on a September day in the historic Distillery District in Toronto, Canada. The couple’s wedding featured a crisp black and white color palette with small hints of blush, creating a very modern, yet romantic, atmosphere. The gorgeous ceremony tent was transformed into a hip lounge for the reception. The main reception room had an industrial aesthetic, with exposed beams and brick, softened by tons of flowers. The dessert table was to die for, with red velvet cupcakes, a croquembouche tower, and salted caramel french macarons!
A few words from the couple:
We wanted a very modern and elegant wedding, almost like a black tie event; yet we didn’t want it to have a “hard” feel. We thought that the rustic look of the distillery district and the boiler house, combined with the enormous amount of flowers and candles would provide the perfect amount of “softness” to the evening. Our dream was to host an event where our closet family and friends (wedding size was about 150) could truly enjoy an elegant evening together in the city and not feel as if they were simply at another “cookie cutter” wedding.
Wow, the setting of this wedding is absolutely breathtaking! Captured by Diane + Mike Photography, Alex and Peter were married in a small, quaint church in Banff, Alberta, Canada last August. Following the ceremony, the couple and their guests headed to a gorgeous lakeside hotel for the reception. Alex and Peter’s wedding day was filled with typical mountain weather; sun, rain, and wind in a matter of minutes. Alex wore a beautiful Vera Wang White gown with delicate lace sleeves that she removed for the reception. The couple embraced the mountain location of their wedding through small details, such as the tiny pinecone boutonnieres. I adore the portraits of Alex and Peter on the dock with the towering mountains and still lake in the background; stunning!
