Real Wedding: Michele + Brian in New York City

Following their small, intimate beach wedding in Bermuda last March, Michele and Brian returned to New York City a few weeks later to say their vows again in front of all of their friends and family. Captured by A Guy + A Girl Photography, the couple’s NYC event took place at the ultra-chic Thompson LES Hotel. The bride looked absolutely stunning in a short, modern dress by Helmut Lang and gorgeous blush colored hidden platform heels by Brian Atwood. Following the ceremony, Brian surprised Michele with a performance by an upcoming singer/songwriter named Sammy from Brooklyn. Several family members and friends presented Michele and Brian with small tokens that represented special advice and/or well wishes. A mixture of delicious cupcakes were served in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. I love all the simple, modern details of this laid-back party!

Tuesday Shoesday: Looking towards Fall

Below are a few of my recent shoe favorites that have me looking forward to fall. The first is wool covered pump by Givenchy (available here for $590). I love the contrast between the heavy black wool and the playful metallic toe caps. The second pair is the Lolita ankle-strap sandal by Brian Atwood (available here for $1165). These shoes have such great pattern and texture, and the black is offset nicely by a blush pink underlay.
