I adore the ethereal atmosphere of this unique trash the dress session! Following their cute backyard wedding, Hansa and Jacob wanted an adventurous and different trash the dress session. The couple contacted Alyssa of Alyssa Campbell Photography and came up with the idea of a super unique underwater shoot. Hansa and Jacob plunged into the pool in full bridal attire for a series of gorgeous images!
This wedding is filled to the brim with DIY details! Photographed by The R2 Studio, Kari and Eric were married last April in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in Mesa, Arizona. Kari was definitely a hands-on bride; making everything from invitations, menus, signs, wine cork place card holders, favors and ceremony programs to her hand stitched Spanish veil and belt! She is one talented bride. Eric, a local radio DJ, had a ton of groomsmen who worked the dance floor at the reception. I love the use of a neutral color palette to allow the natural beauty of the venue gardens to stand out. A few words from the bride on how the couple met and their wedding inspiration:
“Eric and I met through a mutual friend when we lived in Poughkeepsie, NY. We are polar opposites, with me being an engineer and he a morning radio show host, but I think we enjoy our differences and balance each other out. In 2010, we moved to Arizona so that I could go back to school for my PhD. We have since bought a house and gotten married out here and are finding that we really like it here.
The only real inspiration I had for our wedding was that I wanted to be able to look at our pictures 20 years from now and still love all of the choices we made. I wanted it to be elegant and classic. I decided to keep to go with muted colors because I felt that the garden setting had its own beauty and colors.”
This is a very classic wedding, yet it includes many simplified details that add a touch modernism. Photographed by The R2 Studio, Jessica and Chase were married last January in Chandler, Arizona in an elegant outdoor ceremony. A beautiful, deep, eggplant purple complements the otherwise ivory attire and decor, adding a pop of color to this winter wedding. A few words from the bride:
“Chase and I wanted our wedding to radiate a feeling of simple elegance. Classic touches of eggplant and ivory complimented our January wedding perfectly! We made a lot of the decorations on our own, including our centerpieces. This saved us a lot of money and it was also a great way to get exactly the look we wanted. Our wedding day was amazing and we had so much fun! One of the fun touches we added to our winter wedding was a hot chocolate bar! It was a huge hit and our guests loved it. Our day was absolutely perfect as we celebrated our classic love in true classic and elegant fashion!”
