Modern Wedding Gowns: Jenny Packham Spring/Summer 2012

So, I am posting a little out of order this week. I typically feature real weddings on Wednesdays and Fridays, but this week it will be Thursday and Friday. In the meantime, take a look at the fabulous modern wedding gowns by Jenny Packham. This is just a sampling of my favorite designs from her Spring/Summer 2012 bridal collection. I love delicate detailing and varied silhouettes!

Color Palette Inspiration: Pantone Color of the Year 2012

I am sure you have already been informed, but in case you haven’t, the Pantone Color of the Year 2012 is….

Tangerine Tango, Pantone 17-1463! A color description via Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®-

“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it. Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.”

What do you think? This is a much stronger color than last year’s color of the year. Do you see your 2012 being colored by Tangerine Tango? Here is a little color inspiration board to inspire you to incorporate this bold hue into your wedding design.

Modern Bridal Gowns: BHLDN Winter

I love some of the new winter arrivals at BHLDN. There is a great focus on simple silhouettes with fabulous details, giving the dresses a modern feeling. Below are six of my favorites; I am especially captivated by the two short dresses!
