I love all the texture in this urban engagement session! Captured by Carly Arnwine Photography, Alexa and Jason spent an April day in Washington D.C. for their downtown shoot. The couple met freshman year of college, but started dating junior year after Alexa casually invited Jason to a theme party. They attended dressed as the Incredibles and the rest was history! This couple has great style and Alexa’s royal blue pants provide the perfect pop of color!
My apologies for the lack of posting recently, but I promise you that this fabulous inspiration session is worth the wait! Captured by Djamel Photography, this modern styled shoot combines crisp white details in a wonderful art museum setting for some stylish inspiration. A backdrop of floating orchids is perfect against the textural art. I also love the architectural floral arrangements and swanky lounge seating. A pink, square, three-tiered cake with a marbled finish is the perfect complement to the otherwise white decor. Also, who doesn’t love a session with an adorable bulldog puppy?
A few words from the photographer:
This modern inspired shoot was created with clean, simple and white as an inspiration. Djamel with Djamel Photography had in mind a small contemporary art museum in the heart of St. Petersburg, Florida. The large textural art by Syliva Hommert in the Mindy Solomon Museum made a perfect backdrop for the shoot. FH Weddings leather serpentine shaped sectional along with the backdrop of hanging Cattleya orchids made a simple and clean modern setting. Anglo Couture’s sleek straight lined wedding dress accented with a thin silver belt made a stunning statement on the model. So many fabulous details such as the marble cake to the absolutely adorable French bulldog puppy made this modern shoot a big hit.
I adore the super bold color palette of this fun Spring wedding! Captured by Eclectic Images, Tracey and Tanner were married on a lovely May day under a sea of colorful lanterns in Austin, Texas. Following the gorgeous outdoor ceremony, the couple and their guests headed indoors for fabulous food, drinks and dancing. Tracey and Tanner chose a vibrant color palette of hot pink and orange to complement their laid back, yet elegant wedding.
A few words from the bride:
Tanner and I met in Austin when we were both undergrads at the University of Texas. When he proposed, we were living in Virginia, but we knew we wanted to return to Austin for our wedding. We tried to create a laid-back yet still elegant wedding, and Mercury Hall was the perfect choice for our venue. All we had to do was add in plenty of beautiful flowers, an outdoor cigar lounge, some fantastic food and drinks, a great band, and some really fun guests! To top it all off we took a pedicab back to our hotel (the Intercontinental) after the reception – if I had to do it all over again (and I’d love to!) I wouldn’t change a thing!
