Gorgeous Jewel Tone Wedding in Sacramento

I love the rich jewel-toned colors of this wedding! Captured by Jen Stewart Photography, Emilie and Anthony were married this past June in a gorgeous ceremony in a rose garden in Sacramento, California. The couple met during medical school and their ceremony was performed by a doctor friend/instructor. The ceremony aisle was decorated with trails of big blooms, leading to a bamboo chuppah draped in airy, white fabric. Rich, jewel tones and peacock feathers were used throughout the wedding party attire and decor. At the reception, lush floral arrangements decorated each table in the penthouse room. In addition to making program fans, escort cards, and menus, the bride also made a homemade jam favor for each guest.

A few words from the bride:

Anthony and I met during our first year of medical school at UC Davis. We got to know each other while studying together. We helped each other through a grueling 4 years and decided to stay in Sacramento for our residency, Anthony in internal medicine and Emilie in psychiatry. Anthony proposed on our back porch in the rain with candles, red roses, and a beautiful ring! Of course, Emilie said yes!

We wanted our wedding to be unique and elegant but understated. Most of all, we wanted all of our loved ones to be in the same room to celebrate with us! We have amazing family and friends who made the day so memorable!
