Adorable Bookstore Engagement Session in Nashville

This couple looks so genuinely happy and joyous in these gorgeous images! Captured by Jen & Chris Creed Photographers, Ty and Karen’s mid-October engagement session takes place in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple lives and will be married in May. Both Ty and Karen are involved in education and have a real soft spot for children. Their session began in downtown Nashville for a few modern images with lovely city textures, followed by a stop at the Bookman Bookwoman bookstore, where Ty and Karen can often be found relaxing on Sunday afternoons. I always love engagement shoots that are filled with laughter and love, and this one is no exception!

Gorgeous Red + Orange Wedding in Washington DC

Today’s wedding is a beautiful event from my new town! Captured by Edward Underwood Photography, Lauren and Michael were married last September at the Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington DC. The couple met when Lauren and her roommates hosted an Inauguration party in January of 2009. Once Michael arrived at the party, he and Lauren immediately hit it off while discussing travel. After the party ended, Lauren realized Michael hadn’t gotten her number and called a mutual friend to tell him she was interested in Michael. However, Michael had already beat her to it! He had contacted the mutual friend that morning and promptly called to ask her out…the rest was history! Their wedding was filled with gorgeous details, but I think my favorite elements are the bold pops of oranges, reds, and yellows.

Fall Wedding with Pops of Red in NYC

I really do love NYC weddings! Photographed by Studio A Images, Beth and Keith were married in early October at the beautiful Chapel of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary in Manhattan. Following the touching ceremony, the couple headed to Grand Central Terminal for a few post vow photographs. They hit a bit of Friday traffic on the way to their reception at the Jersey City Hyatt Regency, but made the best of it by sharing laughs and Cheetos in the car. During the reception, guests enjoyed amazing panoramic views of the city while dancing the night away. A color palette of red and deep purples was carried throughout the attire, flower arrangements, and decor.
